The Clash
The Dead Kennedys
Pearl Jam (as of late)

I am not really sure that I would qualify the Sex Pistols as political, they seemed to just advocate anarchy and revolution in general, and not really cite any specific problems.

BTW,

Rypro I have you read of you discussing bands that I enjoy. Do you have a guzzlefish account, I would enjoy seeing which CDs you have?

That would take too long for me to put albums down. I have at least 200 cds and you have to put down the running time down for christ sakes. A sample of what I am currently listening to
led zeppelin
metalllica
deftones
tool
pink floyd
queen
rage against the machine
white stripes

Other political bands to include in there are System of a Down, and the Beastie Boys.

That would be: all of them.

It's unavoidable.

All expression - either artistic or otherwise - to a greater or lesser degree has political implications.

I agree to a point. Some groups, such as N'Sync and Backstreet Boys (possibly all of their ilk?) seem pretty non-political to me... unless you count anarchy as a reaction...

Fifteen (one of the most political bands I've ever heard)
Gang of Four
Mission of Burma

The Riot-Girl bands...
Bikini Kill
Le Tigre

...this list could go on forever. Five is a nice round number.

-edit to add-

Oh wait, a couple more.

Crass
Minor Threat
Godspeed You! Black Emperor

Alright, I'm done.

Not really. Guzzlefish is just like DVDAf or DVDProfiler, but can do CDs. I have ~200 CDs (they count boxed sets and 1) and it took me almost no time at all, didn't have to put the running time in. You can enter 25 cds at a time by putting in the UPC.

Don't use the music submission form, it's only for submitting titles they don't currently have in their database.

Use the search box at the top to search for the title that you wish to enter into your collection, just like with DVDAF.

Click here for the full tutorial on quickly adding titles using UPCs

I've got movies up so far and I'm not close to getting done, so it might take a while and I've got a few bad/cheesy titles in their also.
