Man, that's a tough one...favorite albums, gotta be a toss up between:

Morningrise...and song, Advent or Black Rose Immortal.

or

Orchid...In The Mist She Was Standing or The Twilight Is My Robe

Blackwater Park since I think its their most solid and diverse effort. But my favorite song from them is Demon of the Fall.

I only have the last four albums, but it would be really hard to pick a favorite so I guess they all rule. I haven't been impressed with a band such as Opeth in a long time. I you have a chance to see them live, do so although the next tour will focus on the mellow Damnation and you won't see the brilliant contrasts they achieve with their heavy stuff.

BTW, here is a slightly dated (April) but excellent interview touching on the effect of non metallers getting into Damnation, a future collaboration with Steven Wilson on songs too heavy for In Absentia, and possible Damnation setlist spoilers.

My vote goes to Morningrise, with Blackwater Park as a close second.

Favorite song(s): Black Rose Immortal, Blackwater Park, Serenity Painted Death, To Bid you Farewell, and Demon of the Fall.

If you haven't seen these guys live, get out there and see them. They're incredible.
