That's a shame. From the two Johnny Cash autobiographies, CD liner notes and stuff that I've read and seen, it seemed Johnny really, truly loved her and they were "soulmates." I feel really bad for him.

Sad news, as we all know Johnny is in real bad shape too, don't give him much longer with her gone.

Two great souls.

I hate to say but I always thought he would go before her.

This is sad news.

I thought both of these things when I heard the news this morning. The sad smiley doesn't really capture it...

I very Sad to hear this.I am a Huge Cash fan & an even bigger Carter Family fan.
June & her family have made great contributions to the world of country music & will be greatly missed.
Does anyone know if any Music channels will be running June Carter specials in respect,I would love to see some old footage ?

It really sucks. Also am depressed to see her more often referred to as "Johnny Cash's wife" than anything (and I love Cash). She had an enormous musical legacy both on her own and with him, she was definitely one of country's most influential women and irreplaceable loss.
