Worst Jukebox Selection

What is the worst jukebox selection you ever made? Mine was when I just turned 21. In a bar and was in the mood for some Beatles, so I choose what I intended to be Revolution ("so you say you want a revolution...") great song.. Turned out I didn't know there was a song called Revolution #9.. Well I choose that one and everyone in the bar was stuck listening to #9...#9....#9

The best ones are when you play final tracks of CDs with hidden tracks.

"YEAH YEAH YEAH GREAT SONG.... silence... more silence... people start thinking machine is busted... silence... YEAH YEAH YEAH ANOTHER SONG"

I'm very careful about what I pick. In fact, I'll usually go through the selections first to make sure there's actually three songs worthy of my buck...

Was at a bar the other day. Jukebox had "Goin' South", "Coyote Ugly" and some other compilation CDs... all of which featured "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" by The Charlie Daniels Band.

Oh well. I'm always content by picking CCR's "Heard It Through The Grapevine", Steppenwolf's "Magic Carpet Ride" and anything else that gives me my -ahem- money's worth.

There was a great article in Q magazine once, years ago, where a journalist monitored the songs played on the jukebox over a 24 (perhaps 48?) hour period...

I wish I could remember the results - but the only thing that comes to mind is that the most OFFENSIVE song played was "Get in the Ring" by Guns 'n' Roses...

I believe the most popular was Phil Collins (surprise!) "In the Air Tonight"...hah...no...I'm shocked... really ;)

I went to a restaurant that had a free jukebox. We selected Tom Petty's Free Fallin' 75 times. We were only there for a little bit longer, so we only heard the first 8 plays. People were starting to wonder what was going on during about the 3rd one.

hahaha and i thought hearing it every 3 hours on the radio was hard.

I was in a bar when someone played several very bad songs in a row. When I went to the restroom, I told my friends jokingly, "I'm going over and unplug the damn thing!" Well, just as I walked past it, the last song they played suddenly ended, and my friends all thought i had actually unplugged it.

A friend of mine used to go to Pizza Hut and spend several dollars treating everyone to the B52s "Rock Lobster" over and over and over and over.................
