Guadalcanal Diary (Jamboree)
 

I don't care if this thread gets no replies, but I'm stoked that Guadalcanal Diary is FINALLY releasing their 2nd recording "Jamboree" in early May. It's never been out on disc since it's original debut in '86. It will be 2 recordings on one disc... "Jamboree" and their debut "Walking in the Shadow of the Big Man". 22 tracks.

Most people probably know "2x4" the best, but these two records are also great for those 80's fans of REM-type music. I actually like "Jamboree" the best.... cool.

That's a band that fell off my radar about 12 years ago! 2x4 was a big hit in college radio when it was released, so you're right I bet most know that one the best. I think I have Jamboree in my vinyl closet, I know I don't have Walking in the Shadow of Big Man.

"Always Saturday" is a great song on a very weak album. These first two recordings on one disc is a really cool deal.
