I went to high school with these guys, and got to hear them perform in the school cafateria at lunch. Since then they have really refined their sound. They are out of the DC area and their new two-disc live album "Any Time Now" is a must own.
OAR are relatively big here since they went to OSU.

I'll go ahead and recommend Mary Prankster. Originally from Baltimore, I think she just recently relocated to NYC. She's got a good following around the mid-Atlantic states and it was nice to see a decent turnout for her show here last year. I can't say enough great things about all of her albums and would marry her in an instant (she's got the right combination of looks and 'tude).

Josh - is this the same "The Drive" that played at the Annual Woodstump Festival in Texas? I heard they arent' playing this year since they brokeup - also noticed it on their web site.
Anyhoo, just curious...

And now, my vote: COMPANY V

Excellent classic rock band!! Right now, they are doing covers. They have originals, too!

(If anyone is in the Dallas area, they made it to the semi-finals for 93.3's Battle of the Bands. they were one of four bands selected out of hundreds! Woohoo!)
