Cure: Live in Berlin DVD announced

I just heard confirmation on some Cure websites that the live "Dark Trilogy" concerts that took place in Berlin late last year were filmed for DVD release. Eagle Vision is preparing it for a May 20th release (not sure if this is in both Europe and the USA simultaneously, but they DID confirm it will be available in both PAL and NTSC versions). It will be spread over 2 discs, 16:9, 5.1 sound, and feature some interview footage as extras. Basically, for those not in the know, it will feature the COMPLETE performances of "Pornography", "Disintegration", and "Blood Flowers". Some additional tracks will be added from the encores. Now if we can just get Elektra to release "Staring at the Sea", "Picture Show", "Play Out", and "Show", my life will be just about complete.

Great news! I'll be looking forward to it.

A Chain of Flowers had a link on its site at one time to send in questions related to the Trilogy Concerts that would be asked to the group. The answers would be used for an interview section on the DVD. There is also supposed to be 3 easter eggs on the discs as well.

The only other video (besides the Greatest Hits) that has been released on DVD is "Picture Show". It was released by a Brazilian company and can be purchased on various websites or eBay. There was supposed to be a DVD release of a concert from 1984 that has been held up for some reason. Some Tower Record stores had actually put them on the shelves, but had to return them to the manufacturer.

And of course, there are bootleg copies of Galore and In Orange VCDs that can be found on eBay.

Does anyone know the exact setlists of the trilogy shows. I know each album was played entirely, but what about other songs as were mentioned above.

Depending on what night they recorded, the encores were:

Encore 1: If Only Tonight We Could Sleep; The Kiss
Encore 2: M, Play For Today, A Forest

The second Berlin show had the same encores, but added Grinding Halt and Boys Don't Cry.

I have a bootleg of the Brussels Trilogy show and it's awesome. I can't wait to see the DVD.
