Anyone else got some tearjerkers? Johnny Cash's "Hurt" is really emotional. They played it on the WWE tribute show to Eddie Guerrero last night .

Bette Midler's "Wind Beneath My Wings" tears me up now. We made a video for my mom's 50th birthday years ago where we put pictures and video to music. This was the final song on the video. She passed away last year, so whenever I hear the song, I always think of my mom.

"Untitled" - A Simple Plan

"My Immortal" - Evanescence

"Now and Forever" - Carole King

"Don't Take the Girl" - Tim McGraw - association with someone who is now dead

"This Used to be my Playground" - Madonna

Hasn't really made me cry, but a really sad song that I love is "Dry Your Eyes" by The Streets.

Great song.

4) Radiohead - Street Spirit (Fade Out)
5) Carly Simon - Like A River
6) Carly Simon - Better Not Tell Her
7) Harry Chapin - Dreams Go By
8) Harry Chapin - Flowers are Red

"You're Missing" by Bruce Springsteen. First heard it a couple of months after someone I loved very much died of breast cancer. Totally ripped me up then, and I still get choked up if I hear it today.

Since dad died a couple of years back, Cat Stevens "Father & Son" and Mike and the Mechanics "The Living Years" always hit the spot.

Yeah, "The Living Years" always depresses me. My dad's not dead, but every time I hear this I feel like I should call him. Of course, I never do...

This is going to sound stupid, but one song that always majorly bums me out is Opeth's "To Bid You Farewell" particularly the ending:
We walked into the night
Am I to bid you farewell?

Why can't you see that I try
When every tear I shed
Is for you?

Got another one - not sure if already mentioned

Everything But The Girl - Downtown Train

Their version is very emotional. Love Waits' version, though. Absolutely hate Stewart's version.

EXCELLENT call on "Downtown Train" - Waits version (note the guitar work by G.E. FisHer(? - he played on SNL for many years)) is awesome.

Most of EBTG stuff qualifies for saddest songs. Great group (duo, actually) .
