Am I the only one who sees that June 9th is a Monday?
New releases come out on Mondays in the UK.

Well, since I don't live in the UK...I am not too interested in its release date.

If I remember correctly, do US releases come out a day after the UK releases?

any word if a UK CD single is also coming out? Considering the number of songs that Radiohead have written since their last album, there are enought for a second disc. Will be curious how the worldwide releases will look like, I assume the Japanese album edition will have extra exclusive tracks.

They should do what London Suede did and release a two- part CD single and DVD single: six b-side songs total

Actually, Thom was on the Official Message Board, and said that the name will not be 2+2=5, or Are You Listening, and never was thougt to be any of those. Dunno where those names came from, but they will not be the name.

Go to the message boards at www.ateaseweb.com for more information about Thom's visit. Don't go to the official board, cuz they hate everybody.

henryfish,

those names are of new songs. I am pretty sure 2+2=5 is a new song.

"2+2=5" is definitely a new song - not sure it will make the album though. It is a cool song though. "Are you Listening" - not sure where that name came from. Not a new song, afaik.

I like watching how larger media sites (nme, pitchfork) grab rumors from greenplastic and atease, and spread them around. I hope this album is good - Amnesiac, while it had a lot of good songs, was a bit of a let down for me.

from At Ease:

"When talking about the working titles '2+2=5' & 'Are you listening?' Thom denied that they were going to be the actual titles"

I would cry if "Are you Listening?" was the title. Thank God it isn't.

new info:

"There There" will be the first single off their new album. According to NME, a Japanese retail outlet is advertising a May 19th release date, but May 26th is the confirmed UK drop date for the new track.

Radiohead's still-untitled new album will be released early in Japan. While it's still scheduled for a June 10th release in the U.S. (June 9th in the UK), according to HMV Japan, it's coming out on May 26th in the land of the rising sun.

any details on what the extra non-album tracks on the CD Single will be. Is there any truth to the rumour that a UK DVD-Single will also accompany the CD-Single?

This is just a rumor and has never been officially announced.

Well, seeing how the tracklisting itself is unknown, B-sides would be even less. Now we must all be playing the waiting game.

I miss the ok computer and bends sounds. i seen them on both tours and is the best shows I have ever seen. they lost me a bit after those albums, although I like them I dont listen to them as much as I do the others. rehash old stuff, i dont think radiohead could do that. a good song is a good song even if it is in vain of the olderstuff.

Has there been any new news if they plan to tour the states? If they do, they better make up for the two Washington DC dates they cancelled at Bull Run Park due to freakish monsoon rainstorms in 2001.

For those interested, both w.a.s.t.e. and Captiol U.S. sent out emails with the announcement that BigDave posted; the Capitol one is up for viewing here.

Exciting!

Haha - looks like Radiohead is going political with this one. I just wonder who exactly the title is referring to?

And will a lot of people in the US boycott it if the CD is anti-war?
