Metallica to do a summer stadieum tour with Limp and Linkin Park (no info yet)

I heard this on the radio that Mr Hahn of Linkin Park leaked this information early. Well hopefully Limp Bizkit goes on first so I can go in late.

Let me be the first one to say:

"There is no way in hell that this tour is ever going to happen."

This could quite possibly be the worst concert of all time. Don't get me wrong, I love heyday Metallica, but that was long ago.

Love Metallica, can't stand Limp.

This has been a rumour for awhile, hopefully it doesn't happen.

Will it feature a nightly fistfight between Lars and Fred Durst, who was a big Napster supporter?

I'll just watch my Live $#!t, Binge & Purge videos, thank you very much.

I saw Metallica by themselves. I saw Metallica with Guns & Roses and Faith No More. I saw Metallica with Danzig and Suicidal Tendencies, but I sure as hell would not want to see this show.

The only way I'd go see Metallica again is if they promised not to do anything past ...And Justice for All.

I can't remember a time not loving METALLICA. I do not like Linkin Park or Limp Bizkit so this tour sounds like a bad idea to me, but I'm sure I won't miss it.

nothing official from Metallica yet on this

however, they are doing some european festivals on the same bill.

i've seen metallica 10 times since 1994, the live show is not to be missed.

for those that don't like what they have done over the last few years, then you are missing out on some great music.

some people just don't like to allow a band to grow and change

epic songs like outlaw torn and fixxxer are easily some of the best arrangements that they have ever done.

most people judge them now based on the napster thing, which is retarded because they have more money then they could ever spend, and it wasn't even an issue of money, it was an issue of property, and all the bandwagon Metallihaters can't see past it.

oh well, too bad for them.

Sure I don't want them to tour with Bizkit, but LP I wouldn't mind at least they have some catchy hooks.

fred durst is annoying as hell though, and the only thing good about Limp is Wes borland and he took off!!

To me I don't care what the issue is (money vs property)... the fact remains, I pop in their CD, press Play, and hear good music.... none of these outside issues change that fact.

Well for me personally, I dont judge them one bit in that area and actually I agree with them.

I have Load & ReLoad and actually do like those records and love the song you mentioned "outlaw torn". I just dont think these two albums are anywhere in the same league as Metallica's earlier efforts.

I hate Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit, and it would just be really hard for me to swallow Metallica touring with them if this pans out to be true.

I'd love to hear a bar band half as good as Metallica

It won't happen.

I think it would be very difficult to compare the earlier stuff to the newer stuff. Simply put, so much changed through the years.

They are older now, still like to kick ass with the heavyness (see them live today and you'll know they haven't lost a beat)

Jaymz has 3 kids. Lars has 2. All 3 are married.

Also lyricly speaking Het has really made the transition of writing lyrics about whatever, to bringing in life situations for him. Now most of what you hear, has to do with him and what his issues are. Unlike, a song like "Creeping Death" that is simply just a great historical feeling song, but has very little to do with personal things.

They have nothing to prove, and make music for them, if people like it then its a bonus.

imo, Het sings way better these days, i love the old screaming on Kill em' All, but now he can really belt **** out. I love it!

I could go on for days defending them, but I guess its not needed. I love them, always will. They are fun guys, don't take themselves to seriously, have the best fan club put together by any band, 2 fan websites, magazines, videos. Nothing better.

As much as I hate this idea of Met and Limp, both bands are very smart.

LOTS OF HYPE! LOTS of PRESS! Perhaps it will help rebuild some bridges between the publics view.

I know from the club vids that Metallica has no problem with Fred Durst, but I had alway thought that Durst was anti-Metallica after the Napster incidents.

-----

ALso there is no way that Metallica would ever play first in this set, Limp is NOTHING compared to Metallica.
