Good line-up but I'm not sure if I'll go.
I'm getting pretty tired of the all-day outdoor festival concerts with too much heat and overpriced food and drinks. |
Dropkick Murphys!
Sweet!! |
BTW, I've also seen a report that Face to Face will be on the tour as well. I expect a Warped Tour official announcement in the next month on the exact bands and dates.
|
I'd go just to see The Distillers and Rancid.

Originally posted by Deftones It's not so bad b/c you are in LA. Try going to one of these shows in Phoenix in 110 degree heat. :D Actually, I went to the Inland Invasion show in San Bernardino -- it was in the high 90s. It sucked being stuck in the heat. It's not so bad. But, to be honest, I'd much rather go at like 4-5pm and only be in the sun for about 2-3 hours instead of at noon and being in it almost all day. |
Meh. I've seen all the bands I want to see many times before. Seems like it's the same bands every year. I think I might skip it and just go to the Skate & Surf Fest again this year. Last year was great. I had 1000x more fun at this than at any Warped Tour. Plus Warped Tour doesn't seem to have enough of the heavier bands for my liking.

I am there for Mest and a BUNCH of other bands. Although it seems like with an exception of a few it is the same bands every year. No Goldfinger this year though :(.

Most of these bands have *not* been on the tour on a main stage yet.
2002's lineup: NOFX, New Found Glory, Flogging Molly, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Good Charlotte, Bad Religion, Mxpx, Alkaline Trio... All those bands aren't there this year. Last year Drive-thru had their own small stage with Finch, Starting Line, etc. on it. |
In addition, the great part about this year's show is that it's deviating from the recent norm of mall-punk (Good Charlotte, Mxpx, NFG, for example) and getting a lineup of bands that won't bore you to death. I like the mall punk bands a bit but I can't listen to them all day in the hot sun without looking for something else to do.
