hmm...I feel left out...I only own one of those albums (Outkast) and the rest I would never in my wildest, most hallucinogenic dreams ever buy.

I own 8 of the 100 [which are artists I follow].

I've downloaded [then deleted] 70 of the 100.

And there are 5 that I haven't gotten around to buying yet. [4 out of the 5 I downloaded first, then decided to buy].

The rest aren't worth my hard drive space. Let alone my $$$.

Three for me: Kid Rock, Creed, and Linkin Park.

I haven't heard of more than half of the artists on either list.

Honk!

I've got 6. O Brother, Springsteen, Pink Floyd, Chili Peppers (and I don't like it), U2 and The Beatles. Yet I managed to buy about 600 CDs this year. Guess my tastes and the public's tastes just don't agree.

It's great to see a current rock band finish #2 in this day and age. Even if it happens to be the worst rock band on the face of the planet.

600?
There's only 365 days in a year. You listen to a new one every 4 hours at work or what?

That list is mostly mainstream junk. Where's The Used? Where's Finch? Where's Chevelle?

I own a whopping 4 ("O Brother," which I bought in 2001; "Elvis" and "Rolling Stones" hits collections, and one other). And I bought a lot of music in 2002 -- not much "popular" though, too bad for me!

Um, it would follow that this is "mainstream junk" because this is the top 100 selling albums of the year. Like, duh!
