Cocaine Killed Entwistle
http://www.sky.com/skynews/article/0...193396,00.html
The Who bassist John Entwistle died from taking cocaine which triggered a heart stoppage, an inquest has heard.
The 57-year-old was found dead in a Las Vegas hotel room on June 27 on the eve of the band's US tour.
Cheltenham and District coroner Lester Maddrell concluded it had been a "single, moderate usage" of the drug.
This confirmed the findings of a US coroner investigating his death in July.
The inquest heard how Entwistle had spent the evening at the Hard Rock Hotel with band members.
Cold
He then went to bed with a female companion at 3am.
The report from the Clark County Coroner's office in Nevada, said the woman had heard him snoring during the night.
When she woke at 10am he was "unresponsive and cold to the touch".
Paramedics were called but were unable to resuscitate him.
Meeting
The report said there were no suspicious circumstances at the scene and he was identified by his friend and personal assistant.
It also described how the woman had met Entwistle in the hotel bar.
She said he appeared to be in good spirits, not inebriated, and she was not aware of any inappropriate substance being used.
Entwistle's son Christopher said his musician father had been looking forward to the tour and had shown no sign of illness before it.

I have been a Who fan for a long time, but...what a dumbass. You would think after seeing Moon and many other musicians die because of drugs, he would have stopped.
