Cody ChesnuTT

has anyone heard of the newest r+b ish, guitar playing folkish etc. sounding guy Cody Chesnutt??

he has a really hot album called Headphone Experience
which is 2 cds but it's really hard to find because
it's being released independently......through his
website.

online stores don't even have it....yet he does appear on the
new ROOTS album "Phrenology" on the track
"The Seed 2.0" which is a remix of a song on his own album.

anybody heard of this fella?

I was going to post the same thing. I really love the Roots' version of "The Seed." I downloaded CC's original version and liked it. I also listened to some of the clips on his website and enjoyed them. Just wondering if anybody had this disc and would recommend it.

I do know that he recorded it at home and that it sounds
like a demo (really rough around the edges).

It's 36 tracks I think and a lot of them are around 2 minutes long.

I'm gonna buy it if I see it but I don't like ordering off these
websites all the time.

lemme download the original

I love the Roots' version of "The Seed" and checked out some of Chesnutt's solo stuff on his website. Really like everything I've heard from him.

Chesnutt performed "The Seed 2.0" with The Roots on Last Call
on Tuesday night. He was really amazing.

Also, dates are just being announced for a tour with
Erykah Badu with special guest Cody Chesnutt.

So if you're interested in that sorta thing.

you can get the Headphone album on his website
at http://www.codychesnutt.com

it's $19.99 for the 2-disc set

ok i finally bought this thing it's great.

it's very rough-sounding in spots but that doesn't take away from the material it just adds to it

if you like his collabo with The Roots then you'll enjoy "The Headphone Masterpiece"

every song is not uptempo but there are numerous songs that are less than a minute long....

2 discs of quality
