Music Help!!

Hey guys I need help. I'm not looking for a particular genre or artist I'm searching for a sound. I'm looking for songs where the music gets built up and then unleashed loudly. An example of this would be "Hey Man Nice Shot" by Filter where it starts low and then the music just blasts. I know this is generic and probably a ton of songs do this but I'm looking for the music to get louder moreso than the singer. I don't want songs where the not just the singer starts yelling but songs where the music gets stronger and louder. If you have any ideas please reply, especially looking for songs without lyrics. Thanks

Not sure exactly what you are looking for, but I've always loved U2's song "Exit" for that exact reason.

I'm looking for music that builds up. It starts out flowing at a current rate then starts getting louder and all of a sudden its a new sound that's blasting. Another example would be "Little Things" by Bush towards the end where the beat becomes faster and all of a sudden it's just Gavin signing "I kill you once, I'll kill you again.." I'm downloading Exit to see what that's like. Thanks

Just about any "alternative rock" song from the 90s fits this formula. The verses were generally quiet and the choruses exploded with noise and volume. It's a cliche of 90s rock. Not saying the music is bad, just that it mostly fit a pattern.

Check most Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails and Radiohead's "Creep" for examples.

"I Hate it Too" by Hum...I couldn't think of something more perfect.

One moment in "No Joy in Mudville" by Death Cab for Cutie - but I don't know if that one moment would be enough for you.

If you're patient check out some God Speed You Black Emperor! The dynamic changes are HUGE.

i think the everclear instrumental "el distroto de melodica" may fit the description, its off the so much for the afterglow album

There's always Al Svartr flowing into Ye Entrancemperium by Emperor.
It's hard to go further into the blasting realm than that :)

...of course, you say no yelling.....kinda rules out Emperor, but it's still fun music IMO

I don't know if classical's an option but Ravel's Bolero is one long crescendo, and the opening to Haydn's Creation is exactly as you described - quiet, then unleashed....
