Strokes - Is This It
Anner Bylsma - Bach's Cello Suites #s 1,2,3 Iris DeMent - Infamous Angel Billy Bragg & Wilco - Mermaid Avenue Matthew Sweet - Time Capsule: Best of 90/00 Cool article. I spent more time reading that article than I will listening to whatever the single ends up being. (Until this fall, when I'll faintly hear it as work out in the gym.) |
Yes, I actually just read the Goldberg article yesterday. In fact, that's what motivated me to finally track down the demos. I expected them to be extremely lo-fi rough sketches of the songs that made it onto YHF, but they basically just sound like completed alternate versions. There are also some nice songs that didn't make it onto YHF at all, including two tracks that can be found on that boring Jay Bennett album.

I read the Neumu piece on the YHF demos, did some searching for them but still haven't found anything. Would one of you mind emailing me the website where they can be found?
