Streams of Whiskey
I see that there is a Pogues live album slated for release, the first that isn't bootleg, but I also remember hearing that there was a series of live albums available online, and "possibly" sanctioned by the band. I was wondering if anyone knew if this album was taking from those recordings, or really any info at all.
The album isn't out until August 13, but can already be ordered though the UK. The way I see it, anything Pogues can be all that bad.

I saw that it was originally slated for release on 5/21 and then was delayed until August. I agree, it can't be bad, but I don't know anything about it.
BTW, I recently picked up a live Shane MacGowan CD from Best Buy entitled "Across the Broad Atlantic-Live on Paddy's day in NY & Dublin". It's fantastic, he even has his mum sing with him on "Fairytale of New York" in lieu of the late Kirsty MacColl.
I would really like to know about "Streams of Whiskey" as well.

So I got the album yesterday and it's great as far as I'm concerned. The band is tight and Shane is smashed, singing at the wrong times and everything. I've only listened to it once and the editing seems really rough.
There are a ton of good songs on the albume, but then again I would like to hear almost all of their songs live.
