Buffalo Tom fans -- which is the best album?

I had Big Red Letter Day since probably '94 or '95 (I think) and worship it. Then last year I finally got a new album, Sleepy Eyed. And I hate it. I can't decide what it is -- maybe the lyrics just aren't for me and don't speak the way BRLD does.

Do you have suggestions for an album that is more like BRLD?

Thanks!

I know I'm definitely in the minority on this one - Sleepy Eyed is my favorite Buffalo Tom disc. I absolutely love that album. I really like all their discs though. If you're a big fan of BRLD, pick up Smitten (their 1998 disc), it's a lot more in the vein of BRLD than Sleepy Eyed was.

"Let Me Come Over" is also really good.

Big Red Letter Day is one of my favorite CDs. I recommend checking out the Bill Janowitz solo cds. A little less "rock" and a little more "country."

I've never picked up any of Bill's solo discs, though I've considered it many times. I'm a big y'allternative fan, so the "little more country" description really piques my interest. Thanks for the suggestion.

Birdbrain (November 1990)

This is my favorite of the ones I've heard.
