Need help from "Classic Rock" and "Heavy Metal" fans

I need to compile some songs for a friend of "Heavy Metal" and/or "Classic Rock" LOVE SONGS.

Im not familiar with this genre so any help is appreciated. Serious love songs from any decade, preferably 70s - 80s which i assume was the hay day of classic metal and hair bands.

SO what would you recommend as the top LOVE songs in this category?

Angie or Wild Horses - Rolling Stones
Lola - Kinks
Pale Blue Eyes - Velvet Underground
Something - Beatles

My suggestions for classic rock. As far as heavy metal goes, may I suggest Kiss' Beth? I hate that song, but some seem to like it.

You can also hear it UNPLUGGED on KISS' UNPLUGGED CD. This version is awesome! It's another PAUL STANLEY great that deserves attention.

Just don't load it up with those early 90's power ballads that killed the whole metal scene.

The Scorpions were always good for one classic ballad per album:

Always Somewhere
Lady Starlight
Still Loving You

Oh, and give this a shot, UFO: Try Me
