Hmmm. I wouldn't pay to see any of those bands on there.

Ben Folds and The Promise Ring would be interesting, but probably not worth the drive up to Milwaukee.

Phil Lesh & the Allman Brothers are always good for a "phatty" shakedown street. At least the people watching would be entertaining.

Does Lazer 103 (102.9) still have their stage? In the past that usually has been the best IMO. Saw Collective Soul for free a couple of years back.

For all of you not familiar with Summerfest, the only shows you have to pay for are those at the Marcus Ampitheater and even for those they have a limited number of free hand stamps for the lawn seats (I know the Eagles show doesn't this year).

Anyway, Summerfest is a good time if you go in a group, but I would say in the last five years the festival's drawing power for the big shows has dropped. I don't know why, but none of the shows announced for the Marcus are that great this year. There are a few open dates still so I'll cross my fingers.

I think the old Lazer 103 stage became the Potawatomi stage

No offense to any Native American's out there (I'm just pissed about the Lazer stage), but what are we going to do at that stage? Play bingo?

North Mississippi Allstars are terrific, but not sure I'd make the drive up just for them.

Same sentiments, but I've heard they will be at Blues Fest. No driving and free admission, can't beat that with a stick.

If Buddy Guy is playing... I'm there!
