Mouse on Mars
 

I'm not an electronica fanatic, but enjoy hearing some creative electronic sounds. I really like Moby and Air (not just pounding house music). Recently I started downloading complete works from bands I haven't heard a lot from so that I can become more familiar with the past... Orbital, Orb, Chemical Brothers and Aphex Twin. Popular names who have had influence.

After listening to all this stuff I really think what I heard from Mouse on Mars is vastly superior to these more popular artists.
It's fun, playful and very original (and the music doesn't sound half as dated as the Orb or Orbital).

Anyone else dig this band? Also, feel free to list some other electronica acts you like that might not be that popular.

I really like Mouse on Mars too. You might also check out the microphones (not necessarly electronic but they have elements). I'd also suggest checking out Lamb. They have some really good music.

Mouse on Mars are very talented, yes. The Microphones are a good band, but why would you recommend them to someone who liked MoM, Alyshoka? Where do you hear the similarities between them (not being sarcastic here, I'm really asking)?
