Listened to it this morning and for me tracks 2 and 13 are the best so far out of the CD. Can't wait to buy it in another month.

White Knight, without much real cause, there has already been the suggestion that this thread would be closed down quickly simply because of its (until now fairly innocuous) content.

Particularly because the site owner takes advertising to pay for bandwidth he can hardly be seen to condone it when folks are talking about ways to lessen the profits of his patrons....

One of the topics that arises here from time to time is the ethics/legality of music/film sharing/piracy. A quick search might throw up some interesting, (unclosed) threads.

All you need to do is use a little common-sense: what alternative Usenet (sub?) hierarchy has already been discussed as being a "good" source of music/software/video etc encoded in binary form? And what film does this music come from? I thought people here were talking about the starwars franchise.

Or perhaps tor_greg will just email you! As always, no beginng please

Well, I got all the tracks!! Awesome soundtrack. Also just because I DL the tracks doesn't mean I'm not going to purchase the CD this April. What I should have a gap in my Star Wars soundtrack collect? Nah...JW will get my $$$!

The soundtrack might sound good, but that doesn't mean Lucas can't destroy it like he did TPM score. If Lucas upsets Williams again for this movie then I doubt Williams will be doing the score for Episode 3.

"Across the Stars" is terrific stuff, much in the mold of Nino Rota's Romeo and Juliet. It's a bittersweet theme of two lovers that can never be truly together because of outside factors that affect the both of them. And like Romeo and Juliet, Anakin and Padme are both going to meet tragic ends.

Do you think LucasFilm leaked this to start the net hype rolling for Ep2?

It felt like they had a hand in Hary Knowles seeing EP2 on tape.

totally agree with you there Big G.
Knowles getting a copy was a bit odd for the underground... sending him an invite to meet them somewhere at a certain time etc etc. it seemed a bit to clean for anyone who has seen the under belly of collecting will know. if you have a advance screener of something, it would be out on the net, on the streets in a matter of days. but this seemed to much of a clean job. It looks like lucas film even commented on it after. not really showing any fear that it was out there. they just said, "well we don't know how he got it.. but we are glad he liked it". if it was really leaked out, lucas film would be asking 20 questions, making public denials, and trying to track that thing down.

as for the advance soundtrack, again, I think they are just letting loose the stuff a little bit. Making sure that They are in control on how much this thing gets and doesn't get. considering Hype is what killed Episode I, I am sure Lucas would love to be in control of all the media hype around this.

Either way, I'm a fan boy, I'll be at toys r us on the 23rd at midnight waiting for my star wars Episode II toys (even though I have some already. ), I will buy the soundtrack (actually great soundtrack) and eating up everything else with a spoon.

but yeah, I have to agree that it looks like lucas is in control on what gets "Leaked" out.
