Isn't it a bit cheezy like Savage Garden was?

If you didnt like SG I dont think youll like this...
I always saw SG as more of a rock band with some pop elements....

I hate the single...it is crap. I've seen this record getting terrible reviews... i'm not going near it... and I LOVED savage garden... sure they had slow melodic lyrical pop songs, but they were very intelligent and interesting... I really liked the poetic quality to their songs, and wish Hayes would sort things out and get SG back together...

The album does have some lyrics like SG..that poetic quality..
but like I said in a previous post...its alot more pop than SG..SG had a rock element to it...this album really sounds more like a boyband than SG...

But it was Daniel Johns that had had enough. Darren Hayes didn't even know it was over till he read it in the press. A reunion is not going to happen because Daniel doesn't want it and has wanted out of SG even before Affirmation was in the shops. It was not a personality clash with Darren though.

Here in Australia, Daniel has already written a top 10 hit for a little side project that he has interest in (non-playing) so as they each have success outside of SG, the reunion looks less and less likely.

True, Daniel did want out before Affirmation. You may have noticed he never appeared with Darren much after that, he never even tried to promote their new CD. Sadly though, if Daniels career goes nowhere, he mya try to get back with Darren...

Ive actually listed to the CD a little bit more now, and I like quite a bit of songs. I HATE Boy Band music, and crap like that, and Darrens music dosn't sound too much like it. I urge anyone to pick up an import of the single, with includes three tracks; Instatiable, Ride, and Falling at your Feet. All great songs.
