Seriously, is this not the most retarded song you've ever heard?

It also helps that I hate the group with a passion.

I didn't really mind it the first few times I heard it, but it's been overplayed as hell (especially on MTV 2 and MTV X) and I've gotten pretty sick of it. The chorus is pretty retarded though, but it wasn't enough to bother me the first few times I heard it.

One of my friends actually likes that song, but he does not listen to rock; he listens to Brittney, Christina and that type of music. He gets upset when I listen to Disturbed or Korn and he calls it garbage.

Actually, I like that song, and their album. How is the song retarded? I thought the lyrics were pretty cool.
And Josh, you obviously know nothing about "Christian rock" if you think its all bad. I could name quite a few bands that are far better than their non-christian peers.

Well if you're an atheist, you're not going to want to listen to christian music, regardless of whether it's good or not. Just like you're not going to want to listen to a racist skin head band if you're not a racist.
I don't want to listen to music that's preaching what I consider to be bullsh|t to me, regardless of how good the music is the lyrics would spoil it for me.

Anyways... about POD.. I really only like a few Rap/Rock bands. POD and Rage Against the Machine and Beastie Boys. I think Limp sucks and so do most of the other bands out there that do that stuff.. but I think bands like POD and Rage are the exception.
and I still like the lyrics for this song.

Actually - y'know - this is one of the few songs on so-called "modern rock/alternative" stations that I can stand.
But if I ever hear that pounded piano-note intro of Linkin Park's "The End" ever again, I'll probably walk myself in front of an oncoming bus.
The song's played out Clear Channel - send in some new crap.

For me, I thought the lyrics were ok, but as I hear it more and more, they've started to sound trite. The chorus was only good the first time I heard it.

i think they were just going for someting catchy ... and the first few times you hear it, that's exactly what it is... hell, i couldn't get the chorus out of my head... and the more you hear it, the more you realize how dumb the lyric is, but still, the song is a decent rock song, and POD is a pretty good band..

actually, i don't think they're any worse than most of the other crap on modern radio nowadays. they're certainly better than most other "christian" rock that i've heard. they have a positive message without cramming jesus into your head. if christian music is going to succeed in a mainstream market, this is how they're going to have to do it. i certainly don't automatically hate a band just because the members might be christians.

Good grief, I thought I was the only one.
This song is pretty played out, how could we get more stuff like from O Brother, WAT? on the radio?

the song in itself has a cool sound to it, but its ruined as soon as that guy starts rapping.......am I the only one who hates the rap/rock connection?
I mean it should be simple......either play rap music and rap, or play rock music and god forbid SING.

I am a big fan of P.O.D., mainly stuff before Satellite (Southtown, Rock The Party), but find no part of the Youth Of The Nation song to be retarted. I think it is a great song, the sound is great and the lyrics are meaningful.
I really don't know how the song is "retarted."
