I've got a ticket for Rock Werchter and Graspop.

Graspop's line-up is looking really good: https://www.graspop.be/nl/poster

Rock Werchter's still got a lot of names to come, but it's a tradition to go each year: http://www.rockwerchter.be/nl/line-up

Me and a bunch of friends are going to be trying to buy tickets for Tomorrowland, however that might be an impossible task. We'll see, I went there 1 day because a friend of mine messaged me that she had an extra wristband, the experience was mindblowing.

Other festivals I'm waiting for the line-up's: Sziget, Pukkelpop & Lollapalooza Berlin.

2018 Lineup

I consider Coachella a festival made for me. Did I just fall out of touch with the cool people in the past year? What happened this year? Did all the cool indie bands move onto another festival?

Belly is a cool indie band...from 1995.

Re: COACHELLA festival gots my attention.

I shouldn't have said "indie" (this isn't 2002). I lovingly refer to my favorite music as "hipster shit". Maybe I just need to get with the times and check out some of these bands. I do love The Weeknd's track on Kavinsky's Outrun album. Otherwise I don't know his music.

My Spotify is filled with the likes of: The Mountain Goats, Neon Indian, WHY?, Destroyer, by of Montreal, Saint Motel, Aesop Rock, Bon Iver, Xiu Xiu, AJJ.

I only recognize a few of the performers this year. Did I lose touch over the past year or two?

I'd still go if I had someone to go with. All the art and attractions will probably be neat.

Re: COACHELLA festival gots my attention.

Coachella's lineup and my tastes have been going down different paths further and further every year. I only know about 5 groups on that list. I imagine it's a great lineup for people into it, but it's not for me.

I would like to see Jamiroquai sometime, though.

Re: COACHELLA festival gots my attention.

The only 2 that I would be interested in paying to go to one of their gigs are Belly and David Byrne.

I don't think so. I'm an old fart (46) and am mostly into Swedish dreampop and synth stuff (Postiljonen, Marsheaux, LGHTNNG, etc.) but have some Neon Indian and Xiu Xiu in my playlists, too. And Washed Out, if that matters.

Aside from the headliners (which don't interest me at all), the only acts I recognize are St. Vincent (she should totally be up my alley, but isn't), Portugal the Man (only 'cos my GF likes them), David Byrne (like him, but not enough to fly to CA and put up with all that festival bullshit), Chic with Nile Rodgers (saw Rodgers with Duran Duran in 2016, so I'm good), A Perfect Circle (never a fan), HAIM (meh) and Japanese Breakfast (a band I actually like, but see my answer for Byrne).

I’d like to see Beyoncé but I wouldn’t go to Coachella to do it.

Re: COACHELLA festival gots my attention.

I'd love to see The War on Drugs, Bleachers, Belly, Alvvays, and Vance Joy at some point...just not in that setting, and not that far away.

The National's Homecoming festival with Father John Misty, Feist, The Breeders, and Alvvays has piqued my interest, though.

Coachella 2018

https://www.youtube.com/user/coachella

3 Live channels on YouTube for those who might be interested.

I don't really know any of these bands, but I appreciate listening to some live music while doing other things.

Had no idea that YouTube broadcasts this concert until a colleague mentioned it tonight.
