About four years ago, I had a college internship at classic rock station and a country station in Richmond, VA. The former had a summer concert series in which every wednesday it'd bring in a dinosaur band (the kind where the only original member is the 3rd replacement bassist) and I'd work the promotions van. I have to say, the Molly Hatchet show was just pathetic and I felt quite embarrassed for them.

But, at least I got college credit for suffering through it.

(Luckily, I did not have to work the Eddie Money concert that summer.)

Micahel Damien (the soap star) had a free concert for a radio station promo. We went to it and pegged him with marbles.

I hit him once in the head.

Poison and Warrant about ten years ago.

At least I got to make out with a cute girl I met there between the sets.

Richard Marx!

He did a cover version of the Beatles' Help! that haunts me too this day!

I saw Vanilla Ice in like '91...and then I saw him twice in the last 2 years...LOL

And being that I work for a concert promoter right now, I'm going to be going to some pretty weak shows for free, just so I can laugh.

Incidently, I only wish I could see Morris Day in concert...

My ex-gf was a super fan of Savage Garden - so, being the excellent bf that I was, I took her to two concerts by them. I'm not that ashamed because I do appreciate their music, and I even enjoy some tracks quite a bit... but the second concert by them forced me to miss Iron Maiden who were playing that same night.

My friends to this day raz me about skipping Maiden to please the unpleasable ex.

Sigh.

Damn, I've seen Three Dog Night like 4 times (I'm only 22)

what's worse, and I cannot believe I'm admitting this, is that I saw them twice in one day

I believe I may have everyone beat:

N'SYNC

I am not proud of it, not proud one bit. I am disgusted that I went and I only went because I wanted to be with this one girl I was going to school with. I couldn't hear at 100% for like three days because of all of those screaming girls. I am so ashamed.

And they were the very first concerts I ever had ever been to.

I partially redeemed myself later that summer by catching Black Flag. But Huey's harmonica rendition of "Strange Pair of Shoes Underneath the Bed" still haunts me to this day.

I may be the winner here......

Yes, like many of you, I've seen Huey Lewis, Hootie, George Michael and many other 80's icons (including Michael Bolton, Phil Collins and Julian Lennon), but what I'm really ashamed of is Kenny Loggins. Well, not exactly that I've seen him in concert, but the fact that over the years I've seen him SEVEN TIMES!!!! Now, remember that I was at UCSB during the late 80's and he did a lot of benefits and free shows in Santa Barbara at that time, but facts are facts and that is a very embarassing one, indeed.
Now I gotta cut loose.
