Smash Mouth and N'Sync?
Are there any Smash Mouth fans here? If so, what do you think of them touring with N'Sync? This should be the final proof that Smash Mouth is not an alternative or rock band, but a POP band.

The funny thing is.. Fush Yu Mang (sp?) was sort of a punk/ska album (with the exception of Walking on the Sun).
Then, they abandonned all that and tried to go for the Sugar Ray sound. But, in my opinion they failed.
And.. funny thing is.. Sugar Ray used to be more of a hard rock band.. and then went for the poppier sound, which, personally I think they did a lot better. I actually like a lot of Sugar Ray songs -- they just got overplayed.
Now, it seems like Smash Mouth is kind of a joke.

Sugar Ray is funny go check out that album that Fly was on, it is so hard rock, they went so pop.
I think thats how Crazy Towns new album will be, it will be pop cause they only had one hit from the last album being Butterfly.

Steve Harwell has always been the biggest sellout, even when he was in High School. We ran in the same circles back then, even ran into each other at the studio often when he was rapping back then in his POS group called F.O.S. He got the life he wanted though, living in Vegas with some hoe and his kid named Elvis. He also did a crap job on my car's paint job back in the day

Great opportunity for Smash Mouth to get more fans and sell some more albums. Smart move for them in my opinion.
Yes, if selling albums is your only goal. To some artists, credibility is more important.
