Looking for a specific song by garbage
 

It's a song and part of it goes "hey pretty won't you take a ride with me" and there's also a narrative about this guy who screws this chick in her car but she never kisses him or something like that.

What is this song CALLED???

I believe this song is called "Hey Pretty," and it's by Poe (not Garbage). But I could be wrong.

Never heard it to tell you the truth. I'm a big Garbage fan and I don't think they have a song like that, but I'll check my albums just to make sure.

I just listened to the song and it sounds exactly like Garbage. It's on the 2000 Poe album called "Haunted"

and that is the worst song on the entire album. the albums rules though, too bad no one bought it and she got dropped from her label

Great album - also her first one is great too.

the talking version is actually her brother talking- and was a remix later added to the second pressing of the CD

Poe got dropped from her label. I am surprised the first album did well. I know the second one did not but i am still surprised the dropped her.

of course maybe they were tired of trying to get her to eat something :( . she is way too thin.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that was a Garbage song the first time I heard it ...

I've become introduced to Garbage from watching The World Is Not Enough and thought that the lead singer really had a great voice. I've been interested in finding other tracks that I might like, but am a complete newbie to this band. Was the Bond song a huge change of pace from what the band normally puts out?

On here, you will find familiar songs as "Paranoid", "Special", "Stupid Girl, and "Push It". I highly recommend this album especially since you are a newbie. This one (for me) bought the band the mainstream.

Well the fact that you stated that a song that I like a lot "isn't that good" taints the rest of what you said for me.

#1 Crush by Garbage is one of the sexiest songs of all time. Love that voice.

Sorry, compared to their other songs, it just isn't my "personal" favorite song that they have ever done.

Apology accepted ;) Anyway, I have to agree with you that Version 2.0 is a a great album. I also think Beautiful Garbage is a strong album, even though it got about zero airplay.

Gawd DAMN!! Back in '97, I met a girl at a bar. We hit it off, got talking, and closed the place. Thrown out on the street, but still wanting to talk to her and hang out, I invited her back to my place. She suggested her place instead... little did I know. I was with a long term girlfriend and was ridiculously oblivious to other women- I really just thought she was a "cool chick" and wanted to be friends. So anyway, when we get back to her place, she leaves the lights off (I'm thinking "Oh, she doesn't want to annoy her roommates") and says "I want to put some music on". I say cool, flop down on her couch, and the next thing I know she throws in the R&J soundtrack and skips to that song. I'd never heard it before, so you can imagine, when that first moaning cuts in, I was like :whofart: and then she comes back over to me and starts dancing for me! -other-

Dude. She was ready to :hump:, and I totally hadn't seen it coming! -ohbfrank- We started making out, but like a total tool, I had an attack of conscience and put a stop to it. She was cool about it, not embarrassed or put off. In fact, we became really great friends, until my girlfriend found out about her. The girlfriend was the jealous and possessive type. Again, like a tool, I stopped hanging out with the girl from the bar. I haven't seen her for almost 6 years. D'oh!! Sometimes I want to kill myself...

"im only happy when it rains" gets my vote as sexiest song by gargage.

btw, I gotta chime in and say that poe makes some sexy-as-hell music. I'd never heard of her until I started going to a strip bar where one of the finest women I've ever seen in my life would dance to her music. After that I was hooked- I bought her first album. Still haven't gotten around to checking out her second.
