-Mogwai "My Father My King"
-Babes in Toyland "Intermenstrual"
-Trail of Dead "Source Tags and Codes"
-Weezer "Pinkerton"
-Elvis Costello "My Aim is True"

edit 2: I also pre-ordered, for those that are interested, the XTC box set coming out in the UK in March. For more info: http://chalkhills.org/reelbyreal/a_Coat.html#press
I know there are some big XTC fans here.

Larsen - Rever
4hero - Creating Patterns
Crossover - Fantasmo
Medusa Cyclone - Tangier
Felix da Housecat - Kittenz and thee Glitz
The JD box is spectacular. I bought it when it came out in the UK a couple years ago and, from what I've been told, it's the same exact thing except for the thickness of the packaging. The tracks are identical. Everything of significance is on it. You will be a changed person, Oliver.

Yancey -- rec'd your disk the other day. I was surprised to see that I actually had seven of the records you took the songs from! I like the Unwound song most... Great sequence from Calla to Dylan to Beachwood Sparks... And after hearing some of the other groups, my opinion on the Strokes (why them?)became further solidified. Your disk shd arrive soon; I mailed it Monday.
I can count on two fingers the number of Joy Division songs I don't like. I don't think I can say that about any other band.

Kerosene 454 - "At Zero"
Nick Drake - "Bryter Layter"
Dismemberment Plan - "Change"
MP3s of comedian John Pinette's terrible "you go now" routine (to be burned onto a CD for a gag birthday gift)
Chicago got quite a few inches of snow last night. Looks like it's time for some shoveling...
