The Letter was originally done by the Box Tops, featuring the highly overrated Alex Chilton.

Don't know about the others, but I've heard the Sonny one, I think.

according to www.whodoesthatsong.com, "never my love" was by assocaition in 1967 and blue swede in 1974

Definitely, TDD, the Association did "Never My Love." My mom and I both knew that. :D Maybe because she forced me to listen to oldies growing up. It is a beautiful song, though.
