I'm not sure what general category of music Seal's work comes under but it isn't one that I favour.

However, I was blown away by when I first heard his "Kiss From a Rose". I bought the album some time later and still play it in its entirety from time to time.

So, an example of unexpectedly liking a song ended up turning me on to the whole album.

Oh, yes, I was going to contrast my Seal experience (!) with Bill Withers. Lovely Day is a great song that I had liked for years but I bought a "best of" collection to get it and hated all the rest!

"One Last Breath" by Creed and "Landslide" by Dixie Chicks...before they both got overplayed to death.

And I liked "Sweet Child O' Mine" and "Welcome to the Jungle" by GnR, but didn't care for any of their other songs. Go figure.

Ok, I'm going to give Creed it's fourth or fifth vote. I really like Six Feet Down (or whatever the real name is) by them and did used to like Sacrifice before seeing the video. I HATE Creed though.
