List is just crap (can I say that?) lol. Where are Van Halen and oh say Journey and a bunch of other bands that sold more albums and had more top 10 hits than half of the bands on this list?

I love the Beastie Boys to death, but there's no way in hell they belong on the top 10 list. Their last CD sucked ass, the one before that wasn't great either.

No rap band should be on there, since they didn't come up with their own original background music! The Monkees have more a right on there than any rap act.

This list is totally useless. It only makes people start talking about how great "their" bands are and how every other band does not deserve to be on this list. It is entertaining to read these lists of greatest bands but they don't mean anything. The greatest bands are the ones we individually love and that's that.

I haven't read this thread at all but all of your guys' arguements are stupid and no one cares what you think should be and what shouldn't be on there. Make your own list and show it to everyone.

Yeah, Pink Floyd at #49 is a travesty of justice. They shouldn't even be in the top 1,000 best band list!!!

I did read the thread, though. I was just joking. Here I will add one of these things at the end to please the masses. (even though I don't like using these things). I followed it up with saying the Beatles sucked and that Sublime is the greatest band of all time. Can no one read any sarcasm in that without one of these ? Seriously. Is there anyone that is offended by my statement by that? If people are really going to be pissed about something like that, you should ban me and I will just waste my time elsewhere where I can make retarded jokes like that.

Sure I can. When you said Cat Power's new album was a major disapointment in another thread, I caught on to your sarcasm right away. You're a very funny person.
