I used to have every "album" on CD. Then the box set came out and I traded them all in for that. I kind of like having all of their songs reordered. It sounds fresh after listening to the originals for years on end. But for me, the most surprising and electrifying album would have to be Led Zeppelin BBC Sessions. It's the live album The Song Remains The Same dreamed of being.
How did that band get so damn good? If it was Satan, God bless him!

Is there a Zep song more haunting and more beautiful than "The Rain Song"?

I voted for Presence because it has 2 of the best Zeppelin songs, Achille's Last Stand and Nobodys Fault but Mine. Physical Graffiti would be my next choice.

Since my favorite (BBC Sessions) isn't listed in the poll....I voted for II.
I voted for II because it has my favorite Zeppelin song:
Ramble On
Oddly enough, BBC Sessions, does not include this song....but is still the best they have to date.

I voted for In through the Out Door. In the Evening is my favorite Zep tune.
Local radio here plays so much zeppelin you really don't need to own the CDs.

Favorite album will have to be Led Zep III
Favorite song is Hey Hey what can I do.
Has anyone listened to the Walking into Clarksville cd? I've never heard it and was wondering if someone could give me their opinion of it?

I'll go with IV. As sick as I might be of Black Dog and R-n-R it really doesn't get much better than that.

I think AMG gives the box set a marginal review because they felt the albums should be listened to as they were.

I voted for IV. Even with my least favorite Zep song of all time in Going to California there's just no way to top an album containing Stairway, Black Dog, Rock 'n' Roll and When the Levee Breaks (my fav Zep song).
