IMDB for music?

Is there something similar to IMDB for music rather than movies?

it doesn't have reviews and the song search seems a little off, but it seems to be good at searching by album or artist.

I tend to use cdnow as well, but I'm looking for something fairly comprehensive like imdb. CDDB really isn't what I'm looking for.

I'll second that one, pretty comprehensive database - I've yet to find a fairly well-known band that wasn't listed (i.e., not a local college bar band). I quibble a little with their reviews sometime but it's the best music database I've found on the Web so far.
