How much cash do songwriters make?

I know that songwriters get a certain amount every time their song is played on the radio (it's less than five cents a play)

What do they make per radio play, and how much do they make per album sale? Anyone? Anyone?

It's not hard at all to track radio play, it's just loads of paperwork. Radio stations pay cash to ASCAP and another group that I forget. Those groups divide up the cash to those who deserve it. It's all figured via playlists, and is very clerical intensive, I imagine.
