In August I saw Eric Clapton. Before that I went to Blink 182, Godsmack w/ Staind, Matchbox Twenty w/Everclear and Lifehouse.

I have tickets to an Aerosmith concert in December.

Jeez, considering that almost all the concerts I had tix too got cancelled: Creamfields NYC, Nick Cave, St. Germain, Pet Shop Boys, Radiohead (in Virginia - rained out would you believe) it hasnt been a good year. Thankfully, though I am headed out tonight to see Travis, the last show I attended though was not really a concert par say but was a DJ set from Basement Jaxx.

I saw Tool on September 27th, GENERAL ADMISSION!
Unforgettable show.....and they sang "Patient", which I wasn't quite expecting but really glad...I could touch the fencing around the stage. That's how close I was..

..and on the 26h...Weezer, General Admission!
Also amazing, but judging from my user id, you can imagine which show agreed with me more.

George Carlin on Saturday (I know but it's still a concert)

The White Stripes about three weeks ago maybe.

Tool, gonna see them in about two weeks.

(possibly Travis or Ryan Adams) next week.

This music forum on this thread especially absolutely reeks of good taste.......refreshing to see/read.

It's been a while, but Everlast with Nikka Costa at the House of Blues in Vegas. There was another band too, which were the second on, but they suck, and don't deserve my thoughts. This gig was amazing. Both Everlast and Nikka Costa are unbelievable live. If you enjoy either ones music, check them out live as they are 50x better.

Aerosmith in San Antonio (technically Selma) at the Verizon Wireless Ampitheater

Next will be U2 at the Frank Erwin Center unless I catch some locals shows before then (hoping for another Pushmonkey show soon *fingers crossed*)

The last "concert" I went to was a rave in Austin back in May. Great lineup featuring Rabbit In The Moon, DJ Monk, a triple tag team set with Dara, Dieselboy and AK-1200, Green Velvet and much much more.

Last concert I went to was Wesley Willis in August at a small club. It was pretty sweet. I got to talk to him and he even headbutted me (if you've been to a WW concert you'd understand).

Before that it was some festival with Weezer, Lifehouse, Fuel, etc. I pretty much only watched Weezer and left. They rocked, but the venue was too big and had too many people. I like indoor club concerts better.

To answer my own thread, I just saw Tool. It was almost surreal, easily in my top 3 concerts ever. I encourage anyone who even likes one song to go see them if the oppurtunity presents itself.

WOW

Dido about 14 months ago at the Double Door in Chicago. Obviously haven't been to a concert in a while.

I wanted to go to the Family Values tour next weekend (STP, Staind, Linkin Park) but will be out of state.

Dave Matthews Band for three nights at the Gorge (Aug 24 - 26, 2001). Some (very large) pictures available at http://students.washington.edu/pantala/gorge/

Going to see Tim Reynolds tomorrow in Seattle. If you don't know who Tim Reynolds is (I would be surprised if anybody else here knew who he is), check out some of the audio at http://www.timreynolds.com -- he's an absolutely amazing guitarist.

Also going to see Daniel Lanois, Emmy Lou Harris, Blind Boys of Alabama, and Dave Matthews at the Groundwork benefit concert next Sunday. More info at http://www.groundwork2001.org

Can't wait!

Saw The Cult at Stubb's in Austin, Texas. Still fantastically good, after all these years.

Upcoming:
Tori Amos, Austin, Texas.

U2 in Calgary. Paid extra money to get goods seats and it was worth it. I'm not a big one for large arena-type shows.. but this was great.
