"Air Force One" is a perfectly fine movie marred by Harrison Ford's classic cheesy line: "Get off my plane!"

What are your favorite wince-worthy lines in otherwise good movies?

ABNVet 03-01-01 01:56 PM

Young Guns when Billy the Kid says "I'll make you famous"

DarthMaul420 03-01-01 01:58 PM

Heres another Harrison Ford cheese line ....

"O sure!!! We'll like glue it back on." - Six Days Seven Nights

:D

Gator MacReady 03-01-01 03:40 PM

"Nobody beats me in the kitchen"-Under Siege 2: Dark Territory

"You I think that when you wake up in the morning and look at yourself in the mirror, you're happy...pleased at what you see...and that disturbs me. So I'm gonna take it on as my responsibility to make sure you never get to look in the mirror again"-The Glimmer Man

"Gimme' some sugar babby," -Ash AOD

Jason Bovberg 03-01-01 04:00 PM

I actually think that Ash line is fantastic. It's a cheesy line in a movie that's filled with cheese. I was going more for cheesy lines in otherwise serious films. Another example is "You're terminated" in T2.

Iron Chef 03-01-01 04:03 PM

We can't forget Captain Tanaka in Episode 1

"Well, I guess you can kiss your trade federation good bye."

I cringe every time I see that scene.

You've reminded me of other awful lines in the Star Wars films, mainly, "By now you realize that your father can never be turned from the Dark Side." Talk about shamelessly overwriting.

Charlie Goose 03-01-01 04:07 PM

Arnold Schwarzenegger in Raw Deal - "You should neffer drink ven you bake."

William Holden at the end The Towering Inferno as he's embracing his daughter and gazing sadly at the burned out skyscraper - "All I can do is see to it that something like this never happens again."

Kim Basinger in Batman - "Are we going to try to love each other?"

bishop2knight 03-01-01 05:23 PM

Storm's line to The Toad in X-Men is the absolute worst. "Do you know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightening? The same thing that happens to everyone else."

Geesh!

connie_s 03-01-01 05:31 PM

Con Air : "put the bunny down"

gm 03-01-01 05:40 PM

Con Air: "Fire that piece of sh!t."

Passenger 57 (too obvious): "Always bet on black."

Independence Day: "Today we celebrate our Independence Day".

ptyrtl 03-01-01 06:40 PM

How about this one from Batman and Robin:
Schwarzenegger (as Mr. Freeze:) "What killed the dinosaurs? The Ice Age!"

or, from Commando:
Schwarzenegger has just dropped an adversary off a cliff after holding him over the cliff by his ankle. When questioned what he did with the opponent, he replies "I let him go..."

Glennica 03-01-01 06:44 PM

Dirty Dancing: "Nobody puts Baby in a corner!"

LBPound 03-01-01 06:51 PM

It's not my favorite, but "The things you own end up owning you." is probably Fight Club's cheesiest line.

And then there's "The Perfect Storm" which has its fair share of cheddar dialogue.

dgc 03-01-01 06:57 PM

My favorite:

"I'm here to kick ass and chew bubble gum and I'm all out of bubble gum" - Rowdy Roddy Piper in "They Live"

Geesh!

I was thinking about this the other night!!! Who wrote that? Is it supposed to be funny???

cfmartin3 03-01-01 07:38 PM

The immortal Sally Field "You like me! You really, really like me!"

Can't remember the title of the movie, though.

KC 03-01-01 08:20 PM

In Predator, when Mac says, "I ain't got time to bleed."

William Ward 03-01-01 09:09 PM

Qui Gon Jinn's line in TPM: "There's always a bigger fish."

Not so much the line(OK maybe it is the line)but the smugness with which he delivers it has cheese written all over it.

torque 03-01-01 09:26 PM

it's clear

it's gotta be ,"Put the bunny down." especially in that thick new orleans accent. Face off has it's share I guess it'd a cage thing

bulletproof 03-01-01 09:36 PM

"You're the man now dog!" (DEFINITELY j/k)

KitchenSink 03-01-01 09:48 PM

I eat Green Berets for Breakfast and this morning I am very hungry. Ah-nuld in Commando

gm 03-01-01 10:18 PM

What did Keanu Reeves say to that thief guy on the bus in Speed?

"We're two cool guys, just hanging out."

or some such.

markmidnyte 03-01-01 10:21 PM

Revenge of the Nerds...
