Now I loved Weapons, but come on, Amy Madigan? That's not really much acting, that's just heavy make-up.

 at nominating a movie that didn't play in theaters until it was already a sensation as a "Cinematic and Box Office Achievement".

Seems like the very definition of a box office achievement! :) The one that gets me is nominating a movie in that category that hasn't even come out yet.

It's such a dumb award. The Academy announced they were going to give the same award (with a better name, IIRC), but backed off when Academy members pushed back.
It's doubly stupid in the Globes that already arbitrarily splits up the BP nominees anyway.

Barbie and Wicked were the first two winners of the award.

Maybe a repeat coming for Wicked?

Over Sinners? God, I hope not. Not that I really care, but that movie doesn't deserve anything but Make-Up and maybe costumes.
