Terrifier 4 (2027, D: Leone)
During a Q&A, Leone affirmed, “Yes there will be a ‘Terrifier 4.’” No further details were given. For horror diehards able to make it through the whole bloody affair of “Terrifier 3,” there is a cliffhanger that will segue immediately into a fourth film, which Leone has confirmed is in development. While he won’t reveal too many details, he uses his signature enthusiasm to tease the next chapter. “It will certainly be an epic showdown, an epic closure to this Art the Clown saga,” he says. “The idea I’m toying with in my head would probably be in some regards the most experimental, so I can’t dive into it too much. Some really, really crazy things will happen in the next one.” |

Filmmakers still haven’t figured out that audiences don’t need origin stories for their horror villains.
No one cared why Michael Myers was the way he was or how Leatherface learned to use a chainsaw. A killing machine who kills just because is more scary than a bullied kid or a sympathetic backstory. |

For the extremely small group who might care
I just watched the 1 hour 45 minute documentary on Screambox on the making of Terrifer 3 and it was actually quite interesting. I don't know how many of you have that service, but it's worth checking out if you somewhat liked the last movie. I know most of you here hate these ultra violent slashers. So if you have zero interest, cool. :shrug: |
