As long as the last few writers stay away from it. Jurassic World 2 and 3 are pretty terrible.
Interestingly, while checking out past writers on these movies, I realized Alexander Payne has a writing credit on Jurassic Park III.

Did you not read the post? David Koepp, who wrote the original Jurassic Park, is writing it.

^ I did. Hence my comments about keeping the other writers away.

"The project, which has been flying under the radar, is far enough along, and the script in a well-liked shape, that the studio is whispering of a possible 2025 release date."

Hopefully the whole movie takes place in a house with giant locust,

I missed the last movie but I went and saw Fallen Kingdom in theaters. I wanted the Dinosaurs to eat everyone.

I liked the first Jurassic World movie well enough, but I never watched the sequels since the reviews and word of mouth were horrid. I love Jurassic Park, but didn't really care for any of the sequels. I need to revisit The Lost World sometime to see if my thoughts have evolved on it.
I hope this new movie is good.

I've always felt the obvious route to go with another potential trilogy was the world overrun decades later. Just start it like Dawn of the Planet of the Apes - news footage and text explaining it. Could be a fun take on The Last of Us and other end of the world storylines.

I'd actually kind of like to see a Fast & Furious movie with dinosaurs.

From the sound of this, it looks like Universal and the producers are just looking for someone to get this shot and edited. They just need a "director for hire" to get it done and that's why talks fell apart with Leitch. The producers have already started a lot of the prep work.
