This was a pretty effective and a bit creepy little take on the vampire mythos. I love Melissa Barrera anyway, so I stuck around for her, but this turned into a nice little horror flick. Gave me a Ready or Not vibe because of the mansion, but the girl who played Abigail was really good. Very mature for her age. Not a bad little movie.

I'm on the middle of watching this right now. I think it's awesome. I didn't care for Melissa Barrera in either Scream movie she was in, but she's great in this. The rest of the cast is great, too. Kevin Duran is showing some real comedy chops I didn't think he had. Alisha Weir, who plays the little girl Abigail, is really mature and skilled for her age. Kathryn Newton is always enjoyable. Waiting to see if Giancarlo Esposito returns later in the movie. This is so much fun watching it unfold. I've not seen any of the trailers, so had no expectations.

Finally saw this last week.

At this point, I'll watch anything that Directors Matt Bettinnelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett put out, even if they aren't behind the script.

Although the film didn't change my feelings on Melissa Barrera, it's enough of a vampire splat-fest to get through it's oddly-paced 104-minutes.

Loved the performances by Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, Kevin Durand & Alisha Weir.

Also, it's probably purposeful but is
Spoiler:
Dan Steven's character Adam Barrett named after Director Adam Wingard & Writer Simon Barrett?

We really loved this. Great cast, solid writing and the vampires looked awesome.

I figured this would be streaming by now. I do want to see it but I am not paying $20 to rent it.
