This is out on Friday.
I really enjoyed Duffield's previous work. I've seen some good social media buzz on this.

There was a free screening with a Duffield Q&A on Monday that I had tickets to, but I had to pass. Looks good, sorta like a more horror version of Signs.

I actually enjoyed the hell out of this. The ending through me for a loop.

This was fantastic. Don’t watch the trailer or read any reviews. Just go in blind. It was a lot of fun.

It's a shame this wasn't released in theatres. Awesome sound design.

Another recommendation to go in blind. I’m still undecided if they stuck the landing at the end, but they absolutely nailed the ride. Very fun and extremely well executed.

I liked the movie. My only complaints are that it was a little repetitive at times with the alien chases. Also I didn't care for the no dialogue gimmick. It wasn't necessary and sort of annoying at times.

My interpretation is that the title is ironic. No one was going to save her from the aliens but the aliens saved her from her trauma. They sympathized with her and just let her go while they still conquered earth.

I dug this for the most part. Some great tense moments, awesome design (sound and aliens).
The ending was meh, though.

Fun ride. I agree about the end being not the greatest landing. Although, not nearly bad enough to take away from how good the rest was. Def worth the watch.

I guess I'm the odd person out here. It tried to be to many other movies all rolled in to one. I would love for someone here that loved it (which seems to be quite a few) summarize the plot from start to finish for me. What's the end game here? It was just a disjointed mess that had no purpose. I see why it didn't get a theatrical release.

It was not bad though maybe overkill with the musical score drumming into your head and what you should feel.
It reminded me of the Invaders episode of the Twilight Zone where the main character did not speak either.

I thought this was pretty meh.
I got annoyed with all the running around and the lead making questionable choices - ie. going back into the house to take a shower?
And just like War of the Worlds, I find it dumb that these aliens are trying to conquer earth and they spend so much time dealing with a specific human. Go after the majority of them and worry about the loose ends later, or just kill her immediately and move on. Why would they dilly-dally? And why are they spending time finding out about her trauma?
Agreed. There were many times where someone would normally speak, but they went out of their way to ensure no one would say anything. With A Quiet Place, there's actually a reason for long stretches without dialog - it made sense... in this is was definitely a gimmick.

Watched it today and loved it. Great alien designs and the story kept me guessing. Also award worthy performance by Dever.

I didn't even realize until AFTER the movie that there was no dialogue, never even once even hit my radar while watching it. Speaks volumes to how tense and enthralling the movie was.
