Really? I love 4. Back to the quality of the 1st, and before the over-the-top nonsense The Rock brought to the series.

The first 3 are the most memorable for me, all the ones after that all blend together.
I haven't disliked any of them, though.

5,6, and 7 are the objective apex of the franchise. 1 is what it is and gets credit for being the first. 3 has the best racing and lots of style. The rest are varying levels of garbage, though 8 is kind of alright.

To be fair, the car racing aspect of these movies has been an albatross around the neck of this franchise for quite awhile. Probably since at least part 5 the filmmakers have had to shoehorn in car racing elements to movies that had seemed to want to move away from them. Every action set piece conceived in the last five movies seem to hesitantly use cars when they probably be better served without them. But since they’re Fast and Furious movies, they have to add them in, no matter how awkward it is. Which is why we have a series that involve cars swinging from cranes, cars jumping from skyscraper to skyscraper, cars racing against nuclear subs, etc. and how their cars seem to magically appear all around the world for them to jump in a drive.

Doing a marathon of all the movies, I gotta say, Tokyo Drift, thought to be the stepchild of the franchise, is pretty damn good. I love the ties to the newer and Han is such a great character. I’ve seen the series, at least bits and pieces of the first few and saw all the newer ones from 5 on. But, I’m glad I went back to the beginning. Think TD is my fave of the first 3.

But if you took out the racing/car stunts you end up with Hobbes & Shaw which is more akin to a superhero/comic book movie with how preposterous every frame of film is.

It’s a better title than “Fast X: Part 2” I guess.

I love this series but this needs to be the end.
