Just finished wasting time, er, I mean watching the Fableman's so only one I haven't seen is Women Talking.
I expect Hollywood to gush over Speilberg and give him the Best Director award so they don't have to give him Best Picture for the Fableman's. Not sure if they have the cajones to give to Banshees (which I voted for) but probably Everything.

Finally got the tenth film watched tonight (Women Talking....I had to digitally rent it since it never came here). Voted for the Banshees of Inisherin.

I’m still surprised that Avatar is getting shut out, but I have joined the crowd by voting for EEAAO. However, I would be shocked if he academy follows us, especially since The Fabelmans seems to have everything the academy voters would like.

same here. I like to see all of the nominees before I vote and the streaming window for Women Talking just opened so I saved myself a trip to a theatre.

Re: Vote for your favorite Best Picture nominee (2023 Oscars)
Steven Spielberg’s time has come already. Possibly again in future, but he had his many moments. The Fableman’s was nothing outstanding. No way it should or will win. The movie was just average. And coming from Spielberg, that’s rare.
Voters are all about diversity now, as well they should be, but EEAAO will get it and deserves to get it. Nothing has come out of Hollywood in recent years quite like this one. A rare, twisted, genuine, sad, happy movie all at once. This will win many awards. Yeoh, Quan, BP, most likely BD.

OK, I’ve seen all the nominees now except Avatar (zero interest) and Women Talking (will eventually). I’d rank them:
1 Everything Everywhere
2 Banshees
3 All Quiet
4 Tar
5 Top Gun 2: Electric Booglaloo
6 Triangle of Sadness
7 Elvis
8 Fablemans
personally, I think Aftersun and The Whale should’ve taken a few of these spots.

Finally saw all of the nominees. Got them in just under the wire. As expected, Tar is still my #1. And I don't think it's particularly close. That said, I thought all of the nominees were worth watching. Elvis is easily the worst of the nominees, but the performance sequences are mostly spectacular.
My rankings:
1. Tar
2. Banshees of Inishirin
3. Everything Everywhere All At Once
4. Top Gun: Maverick
5. All Quiet on the Western Front
6. The Fablemans
7. Triangle of Sadness
8. Avatar: The Way of Water
9. Women Talking
10. Elvis

I have not seen all of them but it sounds crazy
Elvis
That might be the movie that you could watch multiple times with the music sequences.
Fabelmanns maybe a double viewing but would it hold up after a 3rd or 4th viewing?
Tar no way it was a ordeal just watching it once.

I've seen 5 of the nominees in the theater. Most recently The Fabelmans. I loved that movie, but I know there are some here who think it's overrated.
My personal pick is Everything Everywhere all at once.

Re: Vote for your favorite Best Picture nominee (2023 Oscars)
We watched The Fabelmans Thursday night to finish our Oscar viewing for the year. Overall, it was a down year for BP nominees that I personally enjoyed and would want to revisit. Lots of good films that I appreciated, but nothing that I finished and wanted to go back and revisit. Top Gun was my favorite, but not one I left the theater in June expecting to be at the top of my list for the year.
