Lucky to be alive and might be a few years for him to recover?
Besides his chest and leg needing surgery, not much details of his injuries.

Besides his chest and leg needing surgery, not much details of his injuries.
In fact, he nearly bled out as he waited for help — he had to be airlifted because of the heavy snow — to arrive. “Jeremy was in a lot of pain, and was having difficulty breathing,” the source added.
An insider said Renner was conscious enough to realize his dire situation. “He knew he was in bad shape and that he might not make it out of this.”
Another insider said Renner has a long road ahead of him. “Word is the damage to Jeremy’s chest was so substantial it had to be reconstructed in surgery,” said a source. Friends revealed that it could be two years before the actor is back in fighting shape.
“So far, he’s had two surgeries and he will likely require more in the weeks ahead on his leg,” said a source. “Doctors tend to space out operations to allow time for the body’s natural healing process to kick in, and that’s the case here.”

Really too bad about his situation. He really is lucky he’s even alive but damn I can’t even imagine what his road to recovery will be like and even when he is considered recovered who knows what complications he’ll have.

He's back home:
Jeremy Renner says he is home from the hospital after a New Year's Day snowplow accident left him in critical condition | CNN
Actor Jeremy Renner tweeted he is home from the hospital more than two weeks after he was crushed in a snowplow accident.
The Marvel star had been hospitalized since New Year’s Day, when he was injured by the snowplow while clearing a driveway near his Nevada home, leaving him with “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries,” his publicist previously told CNN.

Being allowed to go home is a big milestone. I'm sure there's still a ton of work to be done though.

Yeah, I'm sure he's probably still bed bound and probably has nurses stopping by. But it's nice to see he appears to be improving somewhat.
Also "watching Mayor of Kingstown with the fam" is funny to think about. That show is so damn bleak.

Definitely lucky to be alive.
This will change his career in a big way. He'll have some sort of disability that will effect the roles he can take.
I doubt there'll be a season 3 of Kingstown unless they're willing to have a few years gap between seasons and probably write his injury/disability into the show as well.

Glad to hear he’s home. With being gone for a couple weeks, I’m sure there’s a lot of snow piled up that needs plowing.

I have to wonder if he has around-the-clock care or if he is home and resting or resting in a hospital bed but otherwise doing OK. I wish him well and hope he makes a faster recovery than 2 years or whatever is mentioned above. Life can turn on a dime for any of us and the more I hear it's almost a miracle he lived with the blood loss and trauma.

Good to hear. I'm guessing home is back in LA? Glad he did not lose any limbs.
His place up by mount Rose ski resort probably has around 20 feet of snow on the ground.
Looks like at least the next week will be clear around this part of the sierras. I spend a lot of time in Auburn during the winter.

I’m watching Mayor of Kingstown. Loving it. But, gives me a sadness that we might not see his physicality on screen, with this, especially as Hawkeye. I would love for him to make a miraculous recovery.

So was the stuff about his legs not true? I hope it's not true.
