That’s my guess too. Though based on possible safety measures in those snowcats, I hope it’s not something like he let his kid drive and he jumped out for a second.

I read that he’s got chest trauma and orthopedic injuries.

Re: Jeremy Renner In “Critical But Stable” condition.

what a shitty start to 2023. Like Renner, I like being outdoors, but try to avoid the cold and rain, and extreme heat since I have gotten older.

From daily crap mail

Marvel star Jeremy Renner requires a SECOND surgery to address his 'extensive injuries' but is 'conscious and speaking' after losing a significant amount of blood when he ran over his own leg with a snowcat at his Lake Tahoe ranch

Hope he is able to recover. but the lack of news on his leg and other details has me concerned.

I read that he’s got chest trauma and orthopedic injuries.
The first I heard about his chest, sucks even more.

I wonder if it wasn't the front plow itself that did the damage to his leg.

Regardless, hoping he's able to pull through this okay.

Yeah, could be. The thing, though, is will something with treads roll like a car in neutral? If we're comparing this to Anton Yelchin, a car in neutral can roll quite easily down a driveway. I'd say that one of these big snowcats would need to be powered to move, but I've never driven one.

If it ran over his leg, makes me wonder if someone else was in the cab.

It wouldn't surprise me if he ends up losing his leg. Crush injuries are really bad in that regard. Depends on the nature of the accident, but having your leg smashed by a big tread like that would probably destroy the leg. Like getting run over by a tank.

Re: Jeremy Renner In “Critical But Stable” condition.

Latest report states he has “blunt chest trauma” which means it ran over more than just his leg.

I just saw The Hurt Locker again, just to see his talent in a great movie. Hope for him and family he pulls through ok in the end.

Assuming there's no amputation involved, I suspect he'll still have some permanent physical issues because of this - which will probably impact his ability to do action roles.
Fortunately he's a good actor and doesn't need to rely on those types of roles.

Hope he gets better

I know he wants to get back to full health so he can watch his 49ers kick ass again.

Re: Jeremy Renner In “Critical But Stable” condition.

I hate to post in this thread as it will bump it but this is the first time I saw the details of how he got injured. Man I am worried about my snowblower let alone that beast. I really hope he makes a full recovery but I have to wonder if the trauma was too much for his leg to play a role like Hawkeye again.

Renner's update on IG. Since this forum's ability to show IG posts is screwed up, I found Discussing Film's tweet with them taking a screen grab. Glad he's awake.

The 7 ton vehicle apparently started to roll, he tried to get back in it and was run over, or something like that: https://deadline.com/2023/01/jeremy-...ce-1235210769/

Glad he was able to have pic posted. Hope that's an early positive sign for a full recovery. Wish him and his family the best.

14,000 pounds? That's a massive piece of machinery and weighs more than 2 pickup trucks combined. I hope he fully recovers.

Re: Jeremy Renner In “Critical But Stable” condition.

I’m glad he’s awake and (at least somewhat) able to post on social media.

The link posted above says Renner is an honorary deputy sheriff in that county. Sounds like he does a lot for his community.

Re: Jeremy Renner In “Critical But Stable” condition.

Wow. Mayor of Kingstown is pretty damn good. Renner is a force in this. Granted I’ve only seen first 2 eps, but damn if this isn’t a gem. Why wasn’t recognized with Emmy? No nods, nothing. Weist is awesome as well. This is some powerful shit.
Just saw Wind River recently too. He’s so good.

Re: Jeremy Renner In “Critical But Stable” condition.

Hope he makes a full recovery. With the treads on the side you can see how tough it would be to get back into one if its rolling.

Re: Jeremy Renner In “Critical But Stable” condition.

I think the first time I saw him was North Country and he was such a prick and probably somebody to watch as his career blossoms.

I forgot he was in a Dahmer movie in the aughts and he was pretty good in that too.

Re: Jeremy Renner In “Critical But Stable” condition.

Glad to know he seems all right. Renner's a guy I've really grown to like. Unfortunately, my introduction to him was Bourne Legacy, so that didn't give me a favorable opinion of him; however, after his roles in the 2 Mission: Impossible movies, the Marvel flicks and Wind River that initial opinion has done a complete 180.
