Saw this last night. Good thriller despite mediocre actresses and even worst dialogue ("Are you ok???" Repeat 100 times), and a useless side plot about "we both loved the same man" (already done in The Descent). If you turn your brain off, it will give you goosebumps.

Re: Fall (2022) -- Climbing disaster movie
I got this coming on Friday and hope it's at least decent. People are comparing it to other kind of movies with similar plots like The Shallows (very overrated, but okay, I guess)...47 Meters Down (or whatever it was called, and this one kind of sucked)...and Frozen (the ski chairlift movie, which was way better than I ever could have imagined, even though it doesn't hold up as well on repeat viewings)...We'll see. I'm very, very scared of heights and even watching the trailer for this one made me squirm, so we'll see...

Maybe Roku? I think they have a deal to stream Lionsgate movies. Otherwise, I'm considering using some slow ship Amazon credit to purchase the digital copy in 4K for $9.99. During the black friday period, Amazon was doling out the slow ship credit at $3 to $4 per order, so it's a fun ride now picking up movies.

I reviewed the Blu-ray here which suffers from some compression issues, movie blew me away though suspending disbelief long enough.
A few years ago in Walnut Grove CA where all the Sacramento TV transmitters are located and are all 2000 feet high, someone climbed to the top of one and jumped off with a parachute, only to get it caught in one of the wires halfway down and had to use his cell phone (which was still a new thing at the time) to call for help.

I watched this on a plane and it still made me a little woozy (and I’m not a “scared of heights” person.) They really did make it look like the actors were up on that tower, so props to the production team. I enjoyed it for what it was. And I also got “The Descent” vibes for a number of reasons but I love that movie so if you’re gonna steal, steal from the best.

I thought it was a B movie and guess it was with the exception of Jeffrey Dean Morgan playing the dad to add some credibility.

Apparently the director and production company are developing a sequel. Story says the movie was a big hit on Netflix in international territories.

Someone asks the surviving girl to climb another tall structure and she says “No!” The end.
Couldn’t imagine watching this on a plane. I thought they avoided anything that would make you feel uncomfortable flying?

I’ve been flying a ton lately and I was surprised they had “Catch Me If You Can” which includes a character BSing his way into a pilot’s seat.

At least he doesn't crash the plane in that. Just picks up some girls, if I remember right.
