The producers pre sold the rights in some territories. It sold to VVS in Canada before production started and Netflix acquired.

It hasn't been a great movie year so far, so take this for what you will, but I think this might be my favorite thing I've seen this year.

Streamed this Friday evening and enjoyed it . Not a perfect movie, but definitely entertaining and a great showcase for Powell to show why he is worthy of being a leading man. If Twisters can deliver, then I think his hot run truly is about to start.

The movie was a nice mish-mash of rom-com and film noir. Definitely two genres that if any director could blend it would be Linklater. I truly think he may be one of the more diverse filmmakers out there next to Steven Soderbergh.

Seriously?! DUNE 2, Love Lies Bleeding, Civil War, Monkey Man, Challengers, La Chimera, Furiosa, I Saw the TV Glow. All entertaining, all worth watching.

Anyways, this was really fun. Loved the chemistry between Glen and Adria.

Great movie!

And with this, Glen Powell officially becomes Hollywood's new Tom Cruise/Brad Pitt/Matt Damon. An action star who can also act! I had no idea who he was until Top Gun. Since then I've seen everything he is in. The Sydney Sweeney film which is probably where most people know him from is unfortunately the worst thing he has done. But I'm sure seeing 98% of his body nude in that probably won him some fans.

Just listened to him on NPR and he is not just a pretty face. Very thoughtful, intelligent guy and he reads and writes! I think we'll be seeing Glen Powell for a long time.

I noticed him in Everbody Wants Some!!. Thought, at the time, he was a standout.

Enjoyed this very much, but thought it could have been paced a little quicker.

It was ok but not great.

Maybe I was misled thinking this was a action comedy but it had a lot of romance.

I was surprised Richard Linklater directed this.

I really liked it. Fun and clever and very cute. Didn't know anyone in it besides Powell, but thought both he and the female lead were great and had amazing chemistry together. The movie just works.

Yeah, I didn't recognize her. She's good. I expect her to get a lot more work after this. Getting the parts that Anna de Armas passes on.

I didn't say that there hasn't been anything "worth watching." I haven't seen La Chimera or I Saw the TV Glow, but I liked all of those movies you mentioned. I haven't really LOVED any of them though. I'd put Hit Man at the top of my list with Dune 2 and Civil War.

I liked the leads but the movie overall didn't do that much for me. It was fine as a streamer.

Of Decker's list, La Chimera and I Saw the TV Glow are the two I had to google to figure out what they were.

I liked Civil War and Dune 2, but I wouldn't consider either a fun watch. The others I'll get to eventually.

Wasn't my list. I have only seen Challengers and Dune 2 from it.

Totally agree. Excellent mix of genres, smart twists, plausible story, good cast, great script. Well done all round.

Same here--didn't really know him beyond Top Gun: Maverick, but I thought he was really good in this. I imagine he's been getting tons of offers lately, so hopefully he makes good choices with them.

I really enjoyed this.

For some odd reason though it made me think about getting older and ageing, because I couldn’t stop thinking that the Powell role would have been played by Matthew McConaughey, even 10 years ago.

That screen were Adria played a sexy flight attendance.... was awesome! LOL

I hope she gets more work. Glen has surprised the shit out of me, well on his way to being a leading man (if he aint there already).

Ah, that Top Gun mention reminded me that I saw Powell in that flying movie, Devotion.

Yeah, I’m with you on this. Trailer gave me a different vibe, and positive word of mouth had me feeling like this was a great watch. Wife despised it.

I enjoyed some parts, but it certainly took a turn at the end. Given Glen’s character I figured he was doing a double sting to turn her in. Then given the decision, he went all in and it felt very happy go lucky.

I will say the disguise part reminded me a bit of The Saint.

I finally got around to seeing it.

I really enjoyed it but thought the ending was a bit...off or flat not sure but up until then I really liked it.

This definitely took a way different turn than I expected. Glenn Powell was awesome in this.

His Patrick Bateman persona had me rolling.

Adria Arjonais smoking hot.
