I know Betty White is “beloved” but was she a movie star?

Bob Saget made Dirty Work. I don’t think he was in the Memoriam.

Somehow Will Smith did the most talking with his hands tonight.

Unfortunately for all the winners including CODA, they are going to be completely overshadowed by the Smith-Rock altercation.

I see some saying that Smith initially chuckled at Rock's joke, but when Jada got visibly upset that's when Smith got pissed and realized it hurt his wife.

That Will Smith thing really put a bad taste in my mouth for this whole ceremony. I canít imagine the ego someone must have to think itís acceptable to interrupt the Oscars ceremony by taking the time to stroll up on stage and slap a presenter for making a joke. So much for being a classy event.

When I saw Liza I thought she doesn't look half bad for someone in her late 80's. Then I found out she's 76.

According to wiki she did about 30 movies. And it's Betty.

She was really sick in the hospital not long ago. I think she almost died.

Glad to hear she's doing better. My comment was a bit insensitive. A person's health can take a dramatic turn at any moment.

Iím such an idiot. I really thought the whole Rock/Smith thing was some lame Oscar joke. I really thought if Smith hit Rock for real he would have been on the ground but I guess he just slapped him. I even listened through his whole acceptance speech and had no idea. The presenters donít write the script do they?

Also me the day after nipplegate: ďWhat is everyone talking about I watched that whole halftime show intently and I didnít catch a nipple?Ē

exacyly the fa t that he initially laughed shows Will was as incensitive towards Jada as Chris. So once he realized she was hurt, then he decided to go slap Chris to make up for it. It truly show his poor character

and something else that truly left a bad taste in my mouth was how in his speech he tried to justify himself by saying "love makes you do Crazy things" thats the excuse abusers use on domestic violence. They hit their wives and children and then say they do everything out of love

Yeah, that was an awful thing to see, and Smith should have been escorted out immediately. That was assault, and by letting him stay and accept the award the Academy tacitly excused his behavior. Fuck Will Smith. I am on board with canceling that guy over this. Not that I've watched him in much lately anyway.

I guess Kanye isn't the biggest awards show asshole anymore.

He also immediately went to the whole "I'm the real victim here" type of speech to excuse it.

His speech was like justification for defending your loved ones. C'mon, did Chris Rock even write that lame harmless joke? Now if Jada has an actual medical condition, yeah, can see her being pissed and that's not cool. But how do you hit someone over something so lame, or at all? Meanwhile people get canceled over nonsense.

Yeah, what Smith did was bad but by not escorting him out immediately (even knowing that he was going to have a huge win later) was really crappy by the Academy or ABC or whoever is in charge. I'm trying to think of another situation where a person who goes up and slaps a presenter isn't escorted out immediately (and not only that, gets a standing ovation later on in the show)
