This is a disgrace that something from the Looney Tunes franchise, one of the longest running IPs out there, can just be buried like this.
I agree 100% that the tax laws that allow a studio to do something like this are absurd, but all the hand-wringing about how this movie now belongs to the people and that it's some sort of high crime that it won't see the light of day is a bit over the top. Companies research and develop and create new products that are never released to the public every single day. Just because they made something doesn't mean they owe it to us.

At the very least they owe it to the people that spent the last few years making it. I can’t fathom making a product like this in a well established IP and then it just getting tanked.

They got paid. Sure, they can't point to it as part of their résumé, but the money makes up for that. And I say this despite the fact that I dislike what WB is doing here.
